Mikey Teutul, star of the classic reality series American Chopper and American Chopper: Senior Vs. Junior, is interviewed by TV Time Machine host Jim Benson about his personal and professional life, both when the camera is on–and off.

Today on the TV Time Machine, we are proud to welcome a gentleman of many talents: artist, comedian, entrepreneur, and TV celebrity, Michael, AKA Mikey Teutul. Since 2003, millions of television viewers have witnessed Mr. Teutul ride quite a merry-go-round, experiencing the ups and downs inherent in life, family, and starring in a classic reality TV series, American Chopper.

Over these audio segments, Michael Teutul not only helps us explore virtually every aspect of American Chopper and American Chopper Senior Vs. Junior, but also delves into his recent forays into art and entrepreneurship. Again, for those of you intrepid enough to get your motor running, feel free to ride without a helmet, as we climb aboard our mean machine and ride an endless highway from the past, through the present, and into the future!

Mikey Teutul audio interview Segment One

In this segment, host Jim Benson talks with Mikey Teutul about his early years growing up in upstate New York, why he didn’t particularly want to work in the family’s iron works business, and what sparked the launch of American Chopper. Mikey also talks about the impact of having one’s personal life revealed on national television, and how he endeavors to keep things light at Orange County Choppers, when things get choppy.

Mikey Teutul audio interview Segment Two

For the second segment, host Jim Benson and Mikey Teutul discuss how the American Chopper film crew integrate themselves into the business and personal happenings at Orange County Choppers, and the tremendous impact the Black Widow bike design had on the show and its popularity. Mikey also talks about his brother Paul Jr.’s extraordinary talent in building custom motorcycles, and the two different working styles of Paul Sr. and Paul Jr. Mikey then discusses the remarkable opportunities and experiences he’s had while co-starring on American Chopper, including a trip to Paris, France, where he attempted to find the grave of Jim Morrison of The Doors.

Mikey also reflects upon his experiences over the last decade on the series, and contemplates life in the future, after American Chopper.
